Last night, I saw you in my dream.
I reached out and touched your arm.
You turned and looked me straight in the eye,
Filled with apathy.
I reached out and touched your arm.
You turned and looked me straight in the eye,
Filled with apathy.
I said your name but you just stood there,
Staring deep into my eyes.
Without recognition.
That's when I woke with a start,
Sweat glistening on my forehead,
Glad it was just a dream.
But as I sat there in
thought, for a while,
It dawned on me that maybe this dream is reality
And reality is just a dream.
